Ferrari S.p.A. is an Italian car manufacturer based in Maranello, Italy. Founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1947, the brand is considered one of the best automotive brands in history and arguably the best-known brand in the world. As a manufacturer of prestige sports cars, Ferrari has quickly established itself as an automotive reference, both technically and aesthetically.

The history of Ferrari is inseparable from that of Scuderia Ferrari, a racing team evolving in Sport Prototypes as well as in Grand Touring - and later in Formula 1 - since 1929, with which the manufacturer has had its greatest successes. With its experience in competition, the brand "horse prancing" ("cavallino crawling") draws from the techniques on its series models, as evidenced by the Ferrari 288 GTO, F50 or Enzo, models with outstanding performance.

From the 166MM, Enzo Anselmo Ferrari's first automobile bearing his name, to the most recent, the Ferrari Portofino, Ferrari still arouses an "irresistible fascination". Enzo Ferrari also liked to describe a Ferrari automobile as "the incarnation of a beautiful mechanic for men who have the desire to reward themselves, to realize a dream and to breathe for a long time into their lives the fire of youthful passion ".

The story of this particular Ferrari starts in 1950 at the Italian brothers Marzotto. The four brothers were talented drivers with some victories at the legendary Mille Miglia in their name. More importantly, they were good Enzo Ferrari customers.

The Uovo was unusual for its time: it held many fighter planes of its time, but obviously without the wings. It was not a coincidence, because Franco Reggiani had followed training in the aviation industry. The body is made of lightweight aluminum, which makes this Ferrari 150 kg lighter than the comparable Ferrari of the time. The front windshield was composed of crystal (which spares unwanted reflections, according to Marzotto) and was implanted very vertically.

L’histoire de cette Ferrari particulière commence en 1950 chez les frères italiens Marzotto. Les quatre frères étaient des pilotes talentueux avec quelques victoires aux légendaires Mille Miglia à leur nom. Plus important encore : ils étaient de bons clients d’Enzo Ferrari.

L’Uovo était insolite pour son époque : elle tenait beaucoup des avions de chasse de son époque, mais évidemment sans les ailes. Ce n’était d’ailleurs pas un hasard, car Franco Reggiani avait suivi une formation dans l’industrie aéronautique. La carrosserie est composée d’aluminium léger, ce qui rend cette Ferrari plus légère de 150 kg que les Ferrari comparables de l’époque. Le parebrise avant était composé de cristal (ce qui épargne les reflets indésirables, selon Marzotto) et était implanté de manière très verticale.

FERRARI 250 GT Cabriolet

The Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Pinin Farina, sometimes referred to as 250 GTC, is a prestigious sports car developed by the Italian car manufacturer Ferrari. Declination "cabriolet" berlinette 250 GT, it is designed by the Turinese Pinin Farina; it is also bodied by his care, an exception for Ferrari since it is another coachbuilder, Scaglietti, who usually takes care of it. Produced from July 1957 to the end of 1962, the 250 GT Cabriolet is the first convertible built by Ferrari. Only a small volume of thirty models is assembled at first. Marked by the designation "first series" (in Italian, prima serie), these Ferrari give way in July 1959 to a second version with the corrected drawing ("second series", in Italian seconda serie) which will run about 200 copies while it is, at the time, the most expensive Ferrari 250 GT2.

La Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Pinin Farina, occasionnellement dénommée 250 GTC, est une sportive de prestige développée par le constructeur automobile italien Ferrari. Déclinaison « cabriolet » de la berlinette 250 GT, elle est dessinée par le Turinois Pinin Farina ; elle est de surcroît carrossée par ses soins, une exception pour Ferrari puisque c'est un autre carrossier, Scaglietti, qui s'en charge habituellement.

Produite de juillet 1957 à la fin de l'année 1962, la 250 GT Cabriolet est le premier cabriolet construit en série par Ferrari. Seul un petit volume d'une trentaine de modèles est dans un premier temps assemblé. Repérées par la désignation « première série » (en italien, prima serie), ces Ferrari cèdent leur place en juillet 1959 à une deuxième version au dessin corrigé (« deuxième série », en italien seconda serie) qui s'écoulera à environ 200 exemplaires alors qu'il s'agit, à l'époque, de la plus chère des Ferrari 250 GT2.

FERRARI 250 Testa Rossa

Appeared in May 1957 in the form of a prototype during the 1,000 kilometers of the Nürburgring, it was not until November 1957 that the production of the "client" version was started. Built from 1956 to 1961, the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is one of the most highly regarded Ferrari cars. One of them was awarded in May 2009 at a price of 9 020 000 euros, a record.

La Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa est une automobile de course développée par le constructeur italien Ferrari. Réalisée par la Carrozzeria Scaglietti, elle domine le sport automobile grâce à son moteur V12 « Colombo » en remportant notamment les 24 Heures du Mans en 1958, 1960 et 1961.

Apparue en mai 1957 sous la forme d'un prototype lors des 1 000 kilomètres du Nürburgring, il faut attendre le mois de novembre 1957 pour que la production de la version « cliente » soit entamée. Construite de 1956 à 1961, la Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa est l'une des automobiles Ferrari les plus cotées. L'une d'entre elles s'est d'ailleurs adjugée en mai 2009 au prix de 9 020 000 euros, un record.
